Appliance Post Op Instructions
- Your child may experience slight discomfort or pressure around tooth’s gum tissue where bands were placed.
- Warm salt water rinses and extra brushing around area could help healing. Your child may need help cleaning around it.
- Your child will need to avoid sticky and extremely chewy foods, such as taffy, caramel, or gum. It can pull and/or distort the appliance, making it come loose or possibly breaking it.
- If your child’s appliance comes loose, please save the appliance and make an appointment as soon as possible to have it recemented.
